Of course I had to give it a try. I had my first falafel “sandwich” many years ago in Berkeley, CA right by UC Berkeley’s Sather Gate where there was a falafel stand for many years. Joe’s Falafel is a small Mediterranean mom-and-pop restaurant located in Studio City, California. Our quiet and humble establishment has made some loud noise in the NATIONAL foodie space by making it on “Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in the US”…twice. This just happened again, with their falafel wrap. It was so delicious I had it almost every day for lunch. Last year it was the vegan chickenless wrap with BBQ dipping sauce. Discontinued. Boatswain beer in a 22oz glass bottle, also discontinued. Not sure if I will continue shopping at TJs now, as they always seem to discontinue my favorite products. We walked out the falafel wrap and the buffalo chicken wrap (you can guess who picked what, also very typical choices) after narrowing the choices to anything without mayo (I haven't gotten food poisoning from any TJ's food yet but considering this sandwich would be hanging around for a couple hours unrefrigerated, I didn't want to take any chances).

The pros: Trader Joe’s Falafel Wrap is not the best wrap in the refrigerate aisle, but not the worst either. It’s literally just falafel and hummus on a pita with a little tabbouli.
